Weekly Charts, Smarter Games & Dual Storage
The SYN MUSIC Team
Aug 9, 2026
This update is about the moments between songs — the charts that show a server's taste, the games that fill a quiet Friday night, and the storage that keeps everything fast at any scale.
/charts is the new centerpiece. One command serves the server's most-played songs and artists over the last 7 days, 30 days, or all time — top 10 on each side, medals for the podium, total plays, and the whole thing fully branded. It's the listening story of your server, ready on demand.
Song polls grew up. /songpoll now runs a live-countdown vote — 15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds — with animated vote bars, and the winner plays automatically. Guess-the-song got deeper too: up to 25 rounds, Hindi / English / mixed language pools, a configurable guess timer (10–120s) with a live countdown and auto-reveal, and no repeat songs in a session.
Under the hood, storage is now dual-mode: the zero-config JSON store keeps working out of the box, or set MONGO_URI and the same API runs on MongoDB — required for multi-instance sharding. And playback is more courteous than ever: when the last human leaves, the embed shows a ⏳ waiting-for-listeners banner and finishes the current track — it never starts a new one into an empty room.
Everything else stays free, as always. Add the bot, run /charts after a week, and watch your server's taste take shape.
