SYN MUSIC 4.0 — The Future of Discord Audio

Today we're shipping SYN MUSIC 4.0 — the largest release since the bot first joined Discord in 2023. It's the culmination of a year of infrastructure work, a complete rethink of how a music bot should feel inside a server, and the feature that has defined the whole project: the request channel.

One /setup command creates a dedicated channel where members type a song name or paste a link — and it plays instantly. No slash commands, no menu hunting. The channel stays spotless: plain messages are swept away, only the pinned controller remains, and even slash commands used inside it are auto-deleted.

The interactive controller is the heartbeat. Two rows of buttons — volume, prev/play-pause/next, loop, shuffle, stop, help and favorites — plus a filter preset dropdown at the top. Pick 8D, Nightcore or Bass Boost without typing a single command. The status row shows volume, loop state and autoplay live.

Everything persists across restarts. The setup is saved permanently, and on every boot the pinned controller is verified and restored automatically. Stop the music and it returns to the monochrome idle screen with a spinning-vinyl animation.

Finally, reliability. The whole release runs on hardened 24/7 foundations — bounded caches, no duplicate listeners, throttled embed edits. Music that never stops is the feature we're proudest of.
